2018 Turks and Caicos

May 2018 brought us the opportunity to visit Turks & Caicos with our Trilogy neighborhood. We flew from Phoenix to Charlotte, N.C and then to Turks airport, called Providenciales.

The resort was a Club Med all inclusive.       It had been restored after the bad hurricane from 2017.  Our building was quite a walk from the central reception area an the main dining room (shown below).  Buildings were nice though, freshly painted and colorful.  Whole resort was quite clean and no bugs or anything.  It seems pretty windy there, ocean breezes kept away the No-see-ums and kept us cool.

They offered many activities, such as sailing, hobie cats, paddle boards, massages, spa, snorkeling and scuba.  One popular activity was acrobatics.

We just watched, but it was pretty neat.  The most amazing part was, of course, the awesome beach.

We really loved that beach, with its clear cool waters and great visibility.  I could see fish swimming with me.  There was nearly no wave activity, so I didn't get washed up on shore like a beached whale.  It was fun.

In addition to the beach, as if that wasn't enough, they have a great pool too.  We also went there every day! This was a really nice vacation.  We were happy to be with about 100 of our neighbors and friends, so there was always someone around if you wanted a friend.  Our guide (lifestyle director) was with us and always checked on everyone.  "You OK?"
He arranged for us to go out of the compound to eat with the locals at da Conch Shack & Rum Bar.  They showed us how to get the conch out of its shell.  Eww.

There were shows every night for our entertainment.  They were performed by the young staff members that worked there.  (Called GO's)

They were pretty cool, we enjoyed this very much.  It was outdoors in open air theater seating.

Here is me at the airport on the way home.  We flew into Miami and the customs line was 1 and 1/2 hours on my feet.  I was really exhausted.

Here are some amazing photos I took that I really like:

Love to you.  Be kind to one another.
