Bowman's Beach on Sanibel Island

Stopped at The Shell Museum on Sanibel Island.
Really learned a lot about shells and the creatures that call them home. Cool stuff.

Bowman Beach has the best shelling. They say this is nothing, they usually have a whole lot more. There are many, but not too many of the unique kind. Guess I'll need to stop at the shoppe, She Sells Sea Shells......

Indigo Trail at the Ding Darling Refuge. Lots of birds and a whole lot of stinky swamp and a lot of fish. It was pretty interesting watching the birds, lots of osprey and pelicans.

Had breakfast here, pretty hard to snap the photo with the timer on my camera. Took a couple trys. Nice place though.
Ed is in meetings all day, he gave a presentation to the group today, did fine. I waited by the pool for him to finish, then we swam for a while and went to dinner. Nice evening, beautiful sunset.

Thomas Edison and Henry Ford

I had forgotten the many many things that Edison had invented, it really is very amazing, even in today's world. Very forward thinking.

The banyon tree was part of the botanical experiments Ford and Mr. Firestone were conducting to try and develop rubber for WWI.

So, who knew these two fellows were such good friends?! Below is Henry Ford's winter home, right next to Edison's.

The wood floors are just beautiful. Wide planks.

Atlantic City New Jersey

Ed, Barbara and friends Susie and Jim, in 1976 as we visited Atlantic City, pre gambling.
This was the time of leisure suits for the guys. (BK for us.)

This was in August 26, 1979, in the time of disco dancing and an Afro for Ed. In 1979 we were staying with John Edward and Chera Herron, in a nice apartment for Lowndes Bank employees. Chera was working there. (AK for us.)

With Joey visiting Atlantic City for a conference, Ed and I are tripping right down memory lane.

Zaberers was a restaurant started by an Disney animator, it was huge and famous and a lot of fun. Gone now, since 1991.
