April Showers

That's what we're having today, a little bit of April Showers.

Julie's first roses of spring 2013

A friend of mine in California posted this image on her Facebook, she has a lovely rose garden.  It is great to see someone enjoying something they are passionate about.

Wishing I were there...

They are having such a nice spring in Montana.  Doesn't it look inviting? I think you can view an enlargement of this image by double clicking on it.

I live vicariously though the Glacier National Park's nice webcam.  That is a pretty neat thing to do when you work underground and have no windows or natural light.  I escape frequently via webcams to the "outside" world.  I sometimes feel like a mole though.  What in the world was my life like before we bought that Apple IIgs computer?  I guess that CB Radio in the back room at Maple Lake was my link out to the greater existence.

Phoenix has a pretty nice webcam also that I frequently enjoy.  I'll have to find out if NYU has webcams.  Joey used to go stand in the square at UC Berkeley when he worked there and call me and wave - we need to do that again.

We're thinking about where we might go for my birthday in June, but no decision has been made yet.  May will be Boston for MLA, then Greensboro NC for Mary's wedding.  We may have a quiet summer after that, I don't know yet.  Thanksgiving is NYC and the week prior to Christmas is Maui, so the year is starting to take shape.

Do you get the impression I live to travel and see family?  Yep.

I guess I don't do a Bucket List so much as a "OK, What's up next?" list.

I think Glacier Park is one of the most special places I've ever seen.  I hope all of you get to visit this park someday, if you haven't already.  It is worth the trip.

What are we waiting for?
