One Golden Day

They say "Every dog has his day."

I'm thinking this was my day.  

This was taken during a backpacking trip in Kings Canyon National Park.  The colors were so beautiful, I couldn't believe my luck at being able to be there.  I was carrying my pack which was probably 35lbs or so, but still had the energy and enthusiasm to hike down to the river to look closer at the loveliness.   My weight was about 170 at that time, which was great for me. 

It was an awesome day.

I felt so inspired with the feeling and colors around me, I was trying to imagine how I could incorporate these into my home environment. 

This was a day I felt wonderful, strong, competent, in control and happy. 

When you have a day like this, make sure you mark it!  They are rare and fleeting.  But, I can still feel those feelings when I look at this and remember. 

Embrace your day = appreciate each and every day and happy feeling, no matter how small or grand. 

2017 Southwest Road Trip August

Ed and I decided to take some time away from the Phoenix heat during August

We found an idea for a 1,000 mile road trip through Colorado.   Sounded good to us!

Celebrating 65 years of life

Yesterday I turned 65!

It is amazing.  I had a great weekend, went to dinner with Amanda, Todd, Bob, Sandy, Tina and Lindsay and Ed of course.  Joey called.   Patsy called. 

I've been wanting to post more - but I had been doing my posting on my phone.  The app I used doesn't work anymore. 

So, I'm back to the big PC in Ed's den.  More difficult to insert photos, so I'll have to work on this.  

Its been a good year, a very good year.  

We traveled some - to Cancun with our Trilogy neighbors, and to Lake Havasu City AZ just to explore our new home state.  

I completed a year of studying Spanish.  I play Bunco with the neighbor ladies once a month. 

There are lots of new friends and neighbors, fun things to do.

I had my appendix out May 2nd.  That was not fun, but everything is fine now.  

Today was Fathers Day - went to Amanda's for pool play and lunch, very nice!💝

Welcome to 2017

Wow! 2016 is history, and I think that is a good thing. Its been a year of new things, we have a new home, a new state to live in, and even a new great grandson, little Mason Romanowski.

 

 Its a little strange to be "great grandparents", but we love Mason, he is a doll.  His Mom and Dad are great too.  (Not to mention his grandparents Todd and Amanda!)
